Is This the Safest Carpet Cleaning in Maryland?

Why Green Cleaning?

We as a business have a responsibility to use safe , eco friendly products & systems within our business

So how is Universal Carpet Cleaning Services a Green Company?

First it starts with our cleaning system, We use the world renowned Bane Clene System. This is a totally electric, highly efficient, truck- mounted carpet cleaning system. We do not use one of those loud, smelly, oily systems like the competition. Our system is exceptionally clean, very quiet, and provides outstanding cleaning results.

Our warm water, internal extraction system uses a mist of carpet cleaning solution to clean your carpet, not the high volume of water required by many of the other systems and franchises on the market. We use electricity to power our equipment, not a gasoline engine requiring fossil based fuel sources.

That’s a start…………
what about your cleaning products?

We are a Carpet and Rug Institutes SOA service provider and have made a commitment to use products that have been tested by independent laboratories, and have been approved by all the major mills. The CRI used the follow criteria while reviewing all the products.

It should be no surprise that both Bane Clene’s products and equipment passed with flying colors! And we proud to use Bane Clene equipment to give you a safe cleaning.

Here's How to Judge a True "Green" Cleaning...

  • Overall cleaning effectiveness — This ensures that the product removes soil and spots better than plain water.

  • Rate of resoiling — This ensures that the product does NOT attract dirt to the cleaned areas faster than the rest of the carpet.

  • PH — A more neutral pH ensures that carpet dyes and fibers are not adversely affected.

  • Surface texture change — The product must leave the carpet pile minimally changed after repeated cleanings.

  • Optical brighteners None is allowed, as optical brighteners can leave some patches of carpet lighter than the rest and also can add a yellow cast to lighter colored carpets over time.

  • Colorfastness — Products must not be so aggressive that they cause a color change in the carpet.
